B&W Portrait Series

Recently we had photographer, Andrea Castanon come into our studios to shoot an amazing, high contrast, black and white portrait series. Check out these gorgeous photos and hear about what went into making this project.

1.What was the direction or end goal you had for this project?

“The shoot was a new direction for the model, she had just dyed her hair from dark brown to platinum blonde and she wanted to capture this re emergence for her portfolio. It was super fun!”

2. What was your favorite part of the production?

“My favorite part was seeing her really get into the look. We went for a  deep smokey eye and very simple styling to really focus on her new look and play with the contrast.”

3. Go to equipment or camera for this project?

“I shoot Nikon and my go-to is light is the SUN :) I love to use available window light when I can- it's so beautiful and soft.”
